What's Next? has a sound that makes you wanna move and demands your attention. I'm drawn to the strong lyrics and catchy melodies!”

David Johnson

What's Next? performs an eclectic mix of rock favorites and originals at pubs, events, parties, and Festivals.

Like an erector set, we can reconfigure our size and set list to best entertain your patrons and guests.

Seattle, Washington based What's Next? is Andrea, vocals and keyboard, Rusty on vocals and guitars, Doug on bass, and Matt on drums.

What's Next? was born of necessity to adapt to the venues from tiny to large in Switzerland. Our music is vocals driven and the singers have the skills to bring an eclectic mix of styles to life - thus, our name! Not afraid of a challenge, we participated in CERN Open Days 2008 Globe Show, to the likes of Nobel laureates, professional entertainers, and some of the greatest minds of our time. The program was broadcast by satellite to a worldwide audience, estimated to number 750,000 viewers!

What's Next? released our first recordings on the "Resonance: Music from the ATLAS Experiment" CD, on independent Neutralino Records label in 2010 (available on iTunes). We have also performed in various festivals and local venues, including The Hardronic Music Festival (which we also organized for 3 years, expanding it to a 2-day festival), Fête de l’Oiseau, Fête de la Musique, FestiChaux 2013, 7 Arts Bar, Mr. Pickwick's Pub, Les Brasseurs Genève, and as semi-regular performers at Cafe' de Soleil in Ferney- Voltaire, France. What's Next? has played private parties, including JennyFest, with under 200 guests, honoring a commander in Her Majesty's Royal Court, to the 2008 Atlas Experiment Startup Celebration, hosting over 2,000 international guests!

Up until 3 years ago, What's Next? featured only rock covers from the '60s through the present, including Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots, Jack White, Simon and Garfunkel, etc. We have an extensive catalog (over 100 songs and growing) of standards and new dance songs, including favorites like "Uptown Funk" and modern hits from artists such as Chris Cornell (R.I.P.) and Highly Suspect. Since returning to the US, we now include a growing catalog of original compositions that cut a similarly wide swath through the various styles of rock.. Please check out the music player to hear some of our originals as well as covers.

As mentioned above, we don't just play, we organize, too. Rusty organized his first "Battle of the Bands" at the tender age of 18. In Europe, we organized local jams and even created and ran CERN@The Scene, a continuing event showcasing CERN Musiclub members playing at a Geneva, Switzerland venue. The Scene (aka, La Scene) was created to allow musicians from all over the world, young and old, to come together to share and enjoy rock and blues music. By including physicists and engineers from one the largest physics labs in the world, we created an entertaining program that continues to facilitate conversations between interesting, creative people that might otherwise never meet. You can rest assured that we completely understand and are committed to meeting the needs of the owners and patrons in any performance environment.
